what you should know about my approach:

As a documentarian in the truest sense of the word, you may just forget that I’m there–I step back and let the moment unfold so you can have your cake and eat it too (literally).

I serve couples seeking a warm nostalgic aesthetic and a wedding photography experience with soul.

I’m Alora Rachelle

I hate to brag but, I make real people look like models thanks to studying fashion design and psychology. I’m hyper-aware of what makes people look awesome (which isn’t a bad trait to have in the person who’s photographing your wedding). I also have two littles and needless to say, they keep me on my feet

Just know: I have been there before, I have done this awhile, and you my friend, are in great hands.

I also wanted to look and feel like a million bucks without having to say a word. So I decided to be that for my couples. I like to call it Fine Art Documentary style, because we still get those traditional editorial shots as well as a good mixture of candids that tell the complete story of your wedding.

I was a bride before and the most important thing to me was having the moments captured that I missed.

If I’m not shooting, you can find me enjoying a late night book by candlelight, soaking in the magic of childhood with my kiddos, and finding the corners of Detroit that look like Paris.

A routine, “in and out” procedure became a botched surgery that took my grandma from our family too soon. After that, I aimed to document something more. From that moment on, not only did I capture my couples–I documented their families, too. Looking through my wedding photos for comfort and my grandmother’s smile, I realized that others would find solace in the photographs I create for them someday.

I was shooting all over the world as a jet-setting photographer when I got the call that changed everything.
